It's the end of an era in slayage.
But the end of a slayer's career is her death, and I wonder to myself if this is what I want to watch...
Since I started watching Buffy I've found deeper issues than teen-angst turned demony, I've discovered subtext in it's purest form. No one expects the Spanish Inquisition, and I didn't expect Buffy to teach me about grief, anger, lonliness, and lust. But that's what she did. That perky little girl, the character at least, was one of the most complete personalities on television since John Corbett as Chris the DJ of Northern Exposure, and I was grateful to Spike for forcing me to watch. It's rare I meet a real person as whole as Buffy, and she only existed for one hour-long episode a week. If I could be that good, if for only an hour a week, I may make it to Heaven. God smiles on the Slayer.
